Where to get Free e-Books

When I was younger, I used to stay in the library during my break time and after dismissal. My bestfriend and I even had a bet on whoever finishes most books from the library wins a hundred bucks LOL.

With the advancement of technology, some books were converted into electronic books (e-books). It is more convenient for most people especially the techie ones since you are not required to bring bulks of books if you want to read a lot. All you need is your PC and an internet connection and presto!

My grandfather is asking me for links of websites where he can get some Free e-books. I searched the net and found the following links:

1. Project Gotenberg - Project Gotenberg is said to be the oldest online repository of free electronic books. The said website has a large number of volunteers all through the years of its existence in the internet.

2. WikiBooks - Obviously, the site is from the makers of Wikipedia. Wikibooks has a big number of volunteers who are willing to scan and edit e-texts for free. Another advantage of searching at WB is that the books are available in different languages. Don’t forget to put the necessary credits though.

3. Digital Classics Zinio –  I love how Digital Classic Zinio works. It reminds me of our school library LOL. You have to click on the leather-bound images to be able to read your desired book or magazine for free.

4. Full BooksFull Books is a neat site. The titles are arranged alphabetically and it is easy to use.

5. Read PrintRead Print is a free online library. I remember a good friend of mine browsing this site. It is advisable for teachers and students to use this one

So that’s basically it for now. Where do you get some free e-books? Hope to hear your suggestions :)
